چکیده
Hydrochemical assessment of the freshwater lakes provides important insights into sources dissolved ions, geochemical processes, and anthropogenic activities taking place in environment. This study focuses on hydrochemistry water quality Kupinde Lake, Karnali Province, Nepal. Surface samples were collected from 24 different locations lake October 2021 analyzed for 18 physico-chemical parameters. The pH, temperature, electrical conductivity total solids measured on-site, concentration major ions (Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, NH4+, HCO3-, Cl-, SO42-, PO43-, NO3-), including hardness free CO2 laboratory. results revealed that was alkaline with abundance following order: Ca2+ > Mg2+ Na+> K+ NH4+ HCO3- Cl- SO42- PO43- NO3- cations anions, respectively. dominated by Ca-HCO3, indicating calcium carbonate lithology area. Gibb’s plot Piper diagram illustrated rock weathering as most dominant process controlling basin. suitability drinking irrigation determined using indices WHO standards. indicated Lake could be used purposes terms hydrochemical variables.

Thermal metamorphism in the lesser Himalaya of Nepal determined from Raman spectroscopy of carbonaceous material
The determination of metamorphic conditions is critical to the understanding of the formation of mountain belts. However, all collisional mountain belts contain large volumes of accreted sediments generally lacking metamorphic index minerals and are therefore not amenable to conventional petrologic investigations. By contrast, these units are often rich in carbonaceous material, making it possi...

BACKGROUND Indigenous knowledge has become recognized worldwide not only because of its intrinsic value but also because it has a potential instrumental value to science and conservation. In Nepal, the indigenous knowledge of useful and medicinal plants has roots in the remote past. METHODS The present study reviews the indigenous knowledge and use of plant resources of the Nepal Himalayas al...
متن کاملGenetic Issues of Some of the Non Metallic Minerals in Lesser Himalaya
A brief account of the representative and workable industrial minerals namely magnesite, talc and barite in Lesser Himalaya, is presented here emphasizing their genesis. Deposits of magnesite and talc are found associated with Neoproterozoic, plateform type, shelf-slope limestone-dolomite host rocks from inner Lesser Himalayan sequences. Field, textural, geochemical signatures and fluid inclusi...
